We believe that every child has the right to live in an inclusive world and we provide life-changing assistance to children who face barriers so they can thrive and belong in their community.    THE OPPORTUNITY   As the Philanthropy Officer, Annual Giving, you will report to the Director of Philanthropy and work alongside a passionate and dedicated team of fundraisers. You will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing tactics for approved donor engagement strategies and overseeing the execution of our monthly and annual giving programs. The Philanthropy Officer, Annual Giving will help coordinate, execute, and monitor high-quality campaigns to grow the supporter base and contribute to Variety’s vital mission for children. Leading data and analysis projects, you will optimize processes in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring an exceptional donor journey. Building meaningful, long-term relationships with new and existing donors will be a core focus, taking a strategic approach to grow their lifetime giving. You’ll directly and significantly contribute to the organization’s bottom line. The ideal candidate is driven, creative, compassionate, and strategic with a unique ability to cultivate meaningful relationships to support Variety’s mission. ROLE AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES   Annual and Monthly Giving Grow and manage a portfolio of monthly donors and annual donors, as well as prospects, driving results to meet and exceed the organization’s revenue goals and strategic objectives. · Develop and implement strategies to optimize growth, increase annual and monthly donations, and cultivate and steward donors to maximize their giving potential. · Manage and execute acquisition, retention, and growth campaigns across multiple channels including digital, tele-fundraising, direct response television, and lead generation in collaboration with the Director of Philanthropy. · Work and manage relationships with key internal stakeholders and external partners to execute a robust donor conversion and reactivation program. · Analyze and evaluate campaign performance and develop and implement program changes. · Enhance an integrated monthly giving program and lapsed donor reactivation program to maximize net income and achieve overall program targets and objectives. · Manage and cultivate monthly donor relationships to achieve specified goals for reactivation, recruitment, retention, and upgrading monthly donors and grow the fundraising channels. · Build meaningful connections with potential annual or monthly donors that result in new and diverse revenue streams (i.e. major gifts, planned gifts, corporate partnerships, and 3 rd party fundraising) that further Variety’s mission.   Donor Engagement · Create automated donor journeys and liaison with internal stakeholders and external vendors for the establishment of donor value propositions and journey mapping that will include qualitative and quantitative analysis. · Develop a customized Variety year-round donor cultivation, engagement, and stewardship strategy to strengthen relationships with donors at all levels (new-to-file, recurring, mid-level, major, and planned) to elevate their giving and lay the foundation for each pipeline. Philanthropy · Manage initiatives to target diverse segments. · Work closely with the Philanthropy Services team to ensure data integrity, effective data capture, data pulls and identify data opportunities and challenges. · Drive process improvements with a deep understanding of their purpose to find opportunities to improve them. As Variety evolves and priorities shift, keep processes current and on purpose to make the donor experience the best in class. · Monitor, analyze, and report on appeal performance and campaign effectiveness against set benchmarks and performance metrics. · Prepare monthly reports on campaign results, insights, and performance against targets. · Prepare budgets and forecasts as needed to support the Philanthropy Office in developing the overall department budget for revenue targets and forecasting. · Build and manage moves management pipeline. · Management of other programs and initiatives as needed.  ESSENTIAL QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE · A clear passion for Variety’s vision to see every child with complex health needs fulfill their unique potential and to create an inclusive world where no child is left behind. · A strong, well-established understanding of Variety’s mission and capacity to identify and implement the strengths and opportunities for the organization. · Ability to understand the needs and interests of Variety donors to develop strong and long-lasting relationships. · A bachelor’s degree · CFRE designation and AHP Annual Giving Certificate an asset. Minimum of 3 years of experience in fundraising roles with a proven track record of success. · Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI). · Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to share stories, inspire donors, and build long-term, meaningful relationships. · Ability to demonstrate flexibility and to thrive in ever-changing conditions and environments. · Exceptional project management and budgeting planning with emphasis on detail and accuracy. · Experience managing relationships with external suppliers. · Demonstrated ability to identify and develop donor relationships. · Energetic, self-starter who exhibits strong leadership skills and a “can-do” attitude. · Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision. · Strong Microsoft Office computer skills and advanced knowledge using Raiser’s Edge and other similar database management systems. · Heart and hustle.
