Solomon & Sons is accepting applications for an Apprentice Technician. If you have a proven track record of top performance, you may be able to join our dynamic team of customer minded professionals. Established in 1983 Solomon & Sons is a continually growing full-service shop providing diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs to a wide variety of medium to heavy duty trucks and trailer with onsite welding and machining services. Located just west of Dryden, ON.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete thorough and quality diagnostic, service, and repair of trucks/trailers
  • Identify potential and future problems
  • Make recommendations on repairs or replacement parts.
  • Ensure quality customer service.
  • Document repairs, parts, and problems on repair order
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Schedule is rotating 4 – 10 hour shifts

Qualifications and Skills

  • 310T Truck & Coach License or ability to obtain
  • Willing to continually upgrade skills and knowledge
  • Team player with strong commitment to the customer
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills
  • Computer skills with ability to learn in house programs.
  • Can lift 75lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Familiar with tools of the trade and equipped with adequate supply of hand tools.
