Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Senior Coordinator. The ideal candidate will be 65 years or older and have a passion for community work. As a Senior Coordinator, you will be reporting to the Executive director and play a crucial role in supporting the assistant coordinator, volunteers, and clients while ensuring programs run smoothly. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and organizational skills who works well independently to contribute to the success of a smaller agency.

Responsibilities:

- Support the social participation and inclusion of seniors through program development
- Coordinate and schedule activities, including managing timelines and deadlines
- connect with agencies that serve vulnerable senior population
- Coach senior volunteers to increase self-esteem and self-worth
- connect with the vulnerable seniors in the community and request them to volunteer and share their expertise and experiences
- maintain social media accounts for agency
- support functioning of day to day rograms
- Provide administrative support to assistant coordinator and volunteers, including managing documentation, filing, and data entry
- Coordinate and schedule activities, including managing timelines and deadlines
- Collaborate with various community organizations to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects
- Assist in the creations of programs and reports for funders and partners
- Track program progress and identify any issues
- Assist in quality control processes, ensuring adherence to agency policy and standards
- Maintain accurate records of data

Requirements:

- 65 year old or older candidate preferred
- Previous experience in a project coordination role is asset
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Proficient computer skills, including the ability to type accurately and use software programs for data entry
- Basic clerical skills, such as filing and record keeping
- Ability to work on multiple projects in a timely manner
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

Education:

  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

  • Front desk: 1 year (preferred)
  • Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)

Language:

  • Mandarin (preferred)
