The Restaurant Supervisor has an important leadership role and is a partnership with the General Manager in having a successful restaurant. This includes working on the floor and on the line, planning and directing all restaurant day-to-day operations, achieving key financial measures including sales, service recovery, health & safety, cleanliness inspections, guest experience, and employee engagement and retention.
Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order
clear dishes and replenish washed service ware for FOH station
Prepare and stock all service items including maintaining assigned par levels
Maintain dining room to ensure the utmost visual appeal and Brand alignment
Act as a liaison between team members and management
Assist in training new employees
Participate in weekly orders, receiving and effectively storing, and practice proper product rotation
Assist with daily deposits, revenue records, ordering, and inventory
Comply and action all health, food safety and hygiene standards and policies
Utilize various kitchen skills and cooking methods to meet Brand standards
Evaluate quality of food product, prep items and final menu items being served to guests
Verify that menu items are prepared to spec, respecting portion control and menu descriptions
Communicate food orders to Kitchen staff, paying attention to priorities and special requests (i.e. food allergies)
Always ensure cleanliness of dinnerware and service ware
Maintain kitchen areas to ensure the utmost visual appeal and Brand alignment
Follow proper ordering, inventory and receiving procedures
Act as a liaison between team members and management
Assist in training new employees
Comply and action all health, food safety and hygiene standards and policies
Minimum 2 years hospitality/food & beverage industry experience in a supervisory or management role
Proven development and career progression in hospitality/food & beverage
Secondary Education or equivalent proven and related work experience
Food Safety and Responsible Alcohol Service certifications are required
Strong communication skills in English; Japanese is considered an asset
Proven history of hiring, coaching, and training
