PerksCompetitive salaryCompany vehicle + fuel cardExcellent benefit package with premiums paid by the companyRRSP MatchSafety-minded organizationStable, year-round employment with overtime availableContinuous training, learning and development opportunitiesFun-loving work environment with strong social responsibilityWhat You’ll Be DoingDuties and Responsibilities:Lead, manage and mentor employees to develop a high-performing and cohesive teamWork together with the People and Culture Team to effectively resolve internal staff conflicts, and to ensure employees have access to available resourcesParticipate in the hiring, onboarding and training of new employeesConduct annual performance evaluations, provide regular performance feedback and coaching, and implement disciplinary measures as requiredFollow and enforce all safety initiatives and policies, and champion the company safety cultureDelegate responsibilities and oversee branch operationsCollaborate with internal teams across the organization to ensure top-quality customer service at all stages of the rental processWork closely with all levels of the organization to ensure a team-based approach to problem solvingFocus on keeping fleet rental ready through establishing efficient and effective shop flowSupervise mechanics to ensure priorities are being set and preventative maintenance schedule is being followedMake recommendations to management regarding rental fleet inventoryWhat You’ll Bring to the TeamQualifications and Requirements:Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in the construction equipment rental industry or a closely related fieldThorough knowledge of construction equipment would be an assetPrior experience with managing a team is an assetValid Class 5 driver’s license and a clean or satisfactory driver's abstractHighly results-driven with a customer-oriented mindsetAbility to lead and inspire a teamExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to converse with customers, employees, and other parties at all levels of the organization in a professional mannerComfortable with computers and proficient in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Power Point). Experience with viewing reports in PowerBI, and with Systematic Rental Management software (or similar software) is an assetStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing prioritiesFlexibility and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic work environmentGrade 12 diploma or equivalent; a post-secondary diploma in a relevant field would be an asset but is not requiredPlease note, to be considered for this position applicants should currently be residing in Canada and legally entitled to work in Canada.We passionately believe that our inclusive and diverse team is key to the success of our business.
