Summary

Reporting to the VP of engineering, the Electrical Engineer is responsible for ensuring that electrical engineering and control drawings continuously meet the requirements of various projects.

Main Tasks

  • Review technical specifications from customers and highlight the difference with our standard design
  • Create and update standard electrical & control drawings for the turbo blower;
  • Modify engineering and control drawings to meet project-specific requirements;
  • Provide technical assistance to the sales team during the bidding process of the project;
  • Provide technical assistance in the preparation of submittals and other technical documents;
  • Coordinate with various departments, suppliers, and customers as needed;
  • Define required specifications for turbo blower circuit breaker;
  • Define required specifications for Input Reactor, Harmonic Filters, and Sinus Filters;
  • Define required specifications for Variable Speed Drive;
  • Strong knowledge ofNECIUL/Crequirements,asset
  • Prepare technical memos related to the electrical system of the turbo blower
  • Able to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematics
  • Experience in PLC programming.

Prerequisites:

  • Experience and interest in power electronics(motors, drivers)
  • Bachelors or master’s in electrical engineering;
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar position;
  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD Electric2013;
  • Ability to update and modify software and design of turbo blower LCP and MCP is considered an asset;
  • Excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken). French is an asset;
  • Very strong analyticaland problem-solvingskills;
  • Must be proactive, have excellent interpersonal and client-relation skills and strong technical ability.
  • Knowledge of Canadian Electric Code, NFPA to NEC
  • Familiar with UL and CSA standard

Sous la responsabilité du vice-président de l'ingénierie, l'ingénieur électricien est chargé de veiller à ce que les plans d'ingénierie électrique et de contrôle répondent en permanence aux exigences des différents projets.

Tâches principales

-Examiner les spécifications techniques des clients et mettre en évidence les différences par rapport à notre conception standard.

-Créer et mettre à jour les plans électriques et de contrôle standard pour la turbosoufflante ;

Modifier les plans d'ingénierie et de contrôle pour répondre aux exigences spécifiques du projet ;

-Fournir une assistance technique à l'équipe de vente pendant le processus d'appel d'offres du projet

-Fournir une assistance technique dans la préparation des soumissions et autres documents techniques ;

-Assurer la coordination avec les différents services, les fournisseurs et les clients, le cas échéant ;

-Définir les spécifications requises pour le disjoncteur de la turbosoufflante ;

-Définir les spécifications requises pour le réacteur d'entrée, les filtres harmoniques et les filtres sinus

-Définir les spécifications requises pour l'entraînement à vitesse variable ;

-Une bonne connaissance des exigences NECIUL est un atout.

-Préparer des mémos techniques relatifs au système électrique de la turbosoufflante.

-Capable de lire et d'interpréter les diagrammes et les schémas de câblage électrique.

-Expérience de la programmation d'automates programmables.

Prérequis :

- Expérience et intérêt pour l'électronique de puissance (moteurs, drivers)

- Baccalauréat ou maîtrise en génie électrique ;

- Minimum de 3 ans d'expérience dans un poste similaire ;

-Connaissance approfondie d'AutoCad Electric 2013 ;

- La capacité de mettre à jour et de modifier le logiciel et la conception des turbosoufflantes LCP et MCP est considérée comme un atout ;

- Excellente connaissance de l'anglais (écrit et parlé). Le français est un atout ;

- Très bonnes capacités d'analyse et de résolution de problèmes ;

- Doit être proactif, avoir d'excellentes compétences en relations interpersonnelles et en relations avec les clients, ainsi qu'une grande capacité technique.

- Connaissance du Code canadien de l'électricité, de la NFPA et de la NEC.

- Familiarité avec les normes UL et CSA
