Philanthropy REPORTS TO: Vice President and Chief Development Officer
Joining a team of seasoned, passionate fundraisers supporting one of BC’s leading critical care hospitals, the Manager, Physician Engagement will play a leading role in the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of physicians & clinical leaders giving more than $1,000 annually. This position will also be responsible for the development and execution of a grateful patient referral program at Royal Columbian Hospital.
ABOUT THE FOUNDATION
Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation (RCHF) is an independent charitable organization that raises millions of dollars each year to fund major projects, priority equipment needs, facility enhancements, research, education and innovation at RCH. Supported by thousands of individuals, businesses, community groups and foundations, RCHF strives to achieve its vision to inspire giving and grow funding so patients have access to the best in health care at Royal Columbian Hospital.
These referrals include prospective mid-level, leadership and planned giving donors.
The Manager, Physician Engagement will be a passionate project manager, artfully executing all aspects of this critical portfolio. Works closely with frontline fundraisers to manage all identification, cultivation and stewardship activities with physicians & other leading clinical staff throughout RCH giving $1,000 or more annually.
Proactively tracks all clinician engagement activities, conducts prospect research and analyzes data to assess trends & opportunities to grow this portfolio.
Maintain employee records and run bi-weekly payroll using ADP software
Administer MPP plan including bi weekly payments to MPP & annual reporting
Advise on finance software and take part in implementations and upgrades; train others in the use of finance software tools
Liaise with RCHF pension plan provider
Provide advice to management and staff on payroll, benefits, pension and related issues
Experience in a healthcare or post-secondary setting is an asset.
Professional and Technical Abilities
A strong understanding of donor cycle, with exceptional relationship management skills.
Stand-out organizational & project management skills, with a keen eye for the fine details.
A proven ability to initiate, plan and manage achievements against key metrics.
Proficient in MS Office and general computer skills.
Working knowledge of appropriate software applications such as Raiser’s Edge NXT.
Valid BC driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
Willingness and ability to occasionally work evenings and weekends.
