Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, the Health and Safety Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and ensuring a clean and safe work environment at our site. Make recommendations to Cachet and the Site Super about health and safety in the workplace and ways to continue to develop and improve our SOP
Obtain health and safety-related information and paperwork and ensure all paperwork is organized and well managed
Ensure a clean and safe working environment at all times on site
Install safety rails as necessary and any other safety materials required
Chair site safety meetings with internal staff, as necessary
Manage and coordinate all safety materials and documents necessary to ensure efficient tracking of safety violations, warnings, inspections etc.
2 years or more of residential construction experience in health and safety in a fast-paced high-volume environment
~ Extensive knowledge of Ontario Building Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and other health and safety regulations.
~ Health and safety training and certification an asset
~ Skills building relationships with a broad network of contacts, including trade partners, inspectors, and suppliers
~ Proficient with MS Office
~ Experience with NEWSTAR an asset
