LINERGY IS NOW HIRING - Materials Coordinator

The Materials Coordinator role involves determining the quantity and order date of materials needed to meet the master production schedule, as well as initiating purchase or production requisitions when necessary.

Performance Expectations

  • Coordinate and release vendor materials to meet daily production schedules.
  • Influence weekly and long-term production requirements for all lines by analyzing customer releases daily.
  • Maintain inventory stock levels using advanced techniques; monitor and update minimum and maximum stock levels.
  • Manage inventory levels for raw and finished goods, cycle counting, and physical inventory.
  • Develop and maintain shipping schedules for customers and vendors.
  • Utilize customer software systems to communicate their daily standards.
  • Handle any infractions to customer ratings if necessary.
  • Work closely with Subcontracting suppliers to ensure schedules are met.
  • Expedite customer and vendor requirements when needed.
  • Coordinate transportation and vendor releases for timely delivery and cost minimization.
  • Generate Customer and Vendor Delivery performance metrics.
  • Perform monthly physical inventory as directed.
  • Maintain inventory control systems.
  • Provide information to customs department for shipments.
  • Plan tasks to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Complete necessary forms and communicate with suppliers.
  • Calculate invoices and process payments.

Credentials

  • Post-Secondary education in Materials Management or related experience.
  • Minimum of two years production planning experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience with MRP and Web-based Customer Systems considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of QS9000, TS16949, and ISO14001.
  • Ability to read and work with various forms and computer-operated machinery.
