We’re looking for our next Manager, Business Unit Controls. The purpose of the Manager, Business Unit Controls role is to work with a cross functional group of teams from across Questrade to ensure they have adequate standards, controls and effectiveness insights. The Manager, Business Unit controls will support the client services team by identifying risks, creating controls and testing the effectiveness of the controls.
What’s it like working as an Manager, Business Unit Controls at Questrade?
The Manager, Business Unit Controls requires the development of a control inventory and the creation of a testing methodology for activities that span Client Services, Brokerage Operations, Digital Banking, Lending & Insurance and more.
This is a role that requires meticulous detail and ability to identify risks that exist within business unit operating procedures.
Proactively engage with functional leads to identify risks and compensating controls for their business
Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the testing calendar based on business seasonality, volumes, etc.
Responsible for the enforcing the adherence to the testing calendar for functional groups
Recommend & document process improvements to mitigate risks to the business and customer. Liaise with business units to document operating procedures
Support business units through audits, reviews, etc. So are YOU our next Analyst, Business Unit Controls? Ability to assess and evaluate business risk
