With offices across Canada, we leverage the experience of our 250+ Kasian team members to deliver innovative and unique design solutions in multiple market sectors: commercial, workplace, healthcare, senior living, industrial, transportation, post-secondary and other public opportunities.The Opportunity:We have an exciting opportunity in our Vancouver office for a Senior Architectural Technologist who brings experience working as a Job Captain on projects in a Revit environment. Using your Revit skills, you will work with a team to lead a variety of production tasks to prepare documents needed to take a building from the original concept to completion. You will have responsibility for coordinating, managing and preparing the design development documents and construction documents for innovative and complex projects.What you’ll be doing at Kasian:Work with your project team to deliver project documentation requirements through all project phasesLead, develop, prepare, and review Design Development Drawings (DD) and outline specificationsLead, develop, prepare, and review Contract Documents (CD) and specificationsEnsure coordination of consultant documentation with respect to project criteria, client program, drawings, and specifications; review the work of consultantsDirect the preparation of tender documentsAttend coordination and site meetingsCoordinate drawing production to accommodate required tender packagesResearch construction materialsPerform code and bylaw analysisPerform Quality Control proceduresProvide mentorship and guidance and direction to other Production Team MembersWhat you bring to Kasian: A minimum of eight years of experience as an architectural technologistAn Architectural Technology Diploma or Architecture DegreeExperience working on projects in a variety of sectors – Industrial, Commercial and Senior LivingProficiency in construction documentation including envelope detailing a mustFluency with RevitA solid understanding of current building systems, materials, and building codesA passion for accuracyA collaborative and flexible approachMotivation, great organizational skillsSalary starts at $75,000 + per annum, based on a 40-hour work week.
