*Position Rationale:*

​​Working as part of a team, the Project Coordinator will provide overall support for Construction Projects with the City of Fort McMurray and surrounding area to ensure that H. Wilson Industries has the aligned expertise necessary to deliver on Business Development Opportunities. ​

*Position Accountabilities:*
* Review tender specifications and drawings.
* Prepare estimating takeoffs and bid estimates .
* Attend pre-tender meetings .
* Perform on-site inspections once project is underway .
* Procure materials that match specifications of the job.
* Assist in and/or develop of project schedules.
* Project Management to include progress reconciliation and billing.
* Measure and/or confirm field measurements for final billing reconciliation.
* Work side by side with the field team to complete the finished product for client delivery.

*Customer Service:*

Collaborate, coordinate, guide and support the field team so crews are working safely, project is progressing accordingly so overall service delivery levels are optimized.

*Working Environment/Conditions:*
* Professional office environment
* High level of social contact; works closely with staff.
* Communicates by telephone, e-mail, and in-person discussions (i.e. writing emails, letters and memos).
* Open office environment - moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic).
* Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
* Light to moderate lifting at times.

*Qualifications & Experience:*
* *Currently working towards/ or has obtained a Civil Engineering Degree. *
* Other relevant education and heavy construction experience will be considered.
* Competent at reading and interpreting plans and specifications.
* Ability to lead meetings and discussions, maintaining a professional image at all times, whether in the field or in the office.
* Ability to work independently as well as being part of a team.
* Excellent time management skills.
* Extensive skills on Excel, Word and Outlook.
