We believe in the unlimited potential of entrepreneurship and help our Members break through barriers and take their businesses to the next level. Our proprietary training program brings systemization to a contracting company’s operations, develops an entrepreneur’s core business skills, and holds accountability to goals along a clear business plan. Breakthrough Academy is now ten years old and growing rapidly, with over 600 business owners developing in the program, and an awesome team of 50+ running the show. As we serve companies across the continent to level-up and systemize their operations, Breakthrough Academy itself has grown significantly, with 10 years of back-to-back revenue growth. To continue fuelling the predictable top of funnel sales growth, we’re hiring a Business Development Representative, a hungry, disciplined, and high energy outbound sales prospector who can consistently open net new conversations, build genuine rapport and value, and generate qualified meetings for our sales team. You connect quickly, express yourself clearly, and build authentic rapport You thrive in an environment where activity is high, the metrics are clear, and the competition pushes everyone to level up You love the competitive nature of sales and are motivated by incentives, but winning motivates you even more IN THE ROLE, YOU WILL BE: Making 80-100 outbound calls each day to spark interest with prospective Members Working with prospect lead lists that are consistently nurtured by our marketing team through weekly podcast episodes, bi-weekly webinars, and ongoing content that builds trust and familiarity with our audience Conducting brief discovery conversations to identify surface level fit and needs Booking qualified meetings for the Assessment team, ensuring accuracy and consistency in prospect hand-overs Maintaining clean, organized, and complete data in Zoho CRM for every activity Collaborating closely with the Head of Sales on messaging and outreach strategy Participating in sales team huddles, coaching sessions, and adjusting based on feedback Driving consistent pipeline growth by hitting daily, weekly, and monthly activity targets, which include pipeline generation and qualified meetings EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 1 to 3 years of experience in sales or other customer facing roles such as retail, service, or call centers Experience using CRM software to track activity, organize pipelines, and maintain accurate records (we use Zoho) Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding activity and performance targets Strong verbal and written communication skills that allow you to quickly build rapport and engage prospects Demonstrated self discipline, motivation, and coachability within a structured, metrics driven environment Ability to thrive in a fast paced, high activity role where success is measured by pipeline growth and qualified meetings Experience following scripts and proven processes while maintaining flexibility to adapt conversations based on prospect responses Comfortable working in a competitive environment and motivated by incentives, recognition, and performance based growth Bonus Points If You Have: An understanding of business operations and challenges, with the ability to comfortably discuss business topics with prospective clients Previous experience or exposure in the trades or contracting industry THE BENEFITS: Make a meaningful impact by connecting entrepreneurs in the trades and contracting industry with the systems and support they need to grow their business You’ll be an essential contributor on our high performing sales team, supported by coaching, feedback, and proven systems to accelerate your success Competitive compensation package including base salary, performance incentives, benefits, and RRSP matching Travel to incredible locations for retreats and major company events from Caribbean beaches to BC hot springs Join a culture that values authenticity, growth, and purpose - Be Real, Genuinely Care, and Embrace the Journey If this sounds like you and you’re ready to drive real value for prospective members, spark meaningful conversations, and help entrepreneurs take their businesses to the next level, apply and tell us why you’d be an incredible fit for Breakthrough Academy We thank you for your time and interest.
