This remains our goal and focus on all our projects.Who We Are Looking ForWe are currently searching for a talented individual to fill the Mechanical Engineering Technologist role within our Calgary office. The successful candidate will be a highly qualified person able to assist in coordinating projects with the project team from conceptual design through project completion. This could include consultation meetings with clients, consultant coordination, and project communication while at the same time helping to maintain and direct the focus of the design team to ensure specific timelines are met on multiple projects.If you are a passionate and motivated individual with an ambition to grow and enjoy working in a fun, fast-paced, collaborative office with a group of knowledgeable, creative, not-too-serious people, this might be the spot for you.Some of the Things You Would Do (in no particular order)Prepare design, tender, and working drawings using computer-aided design (Revit, AutoCAD).Work with clients and the design team to ensure the project vision is adhered to as much as possible while respecting required timelines and budget.Completing all tasks set by the supervisor and assisting whenever possible.Conducting research and collating dataEnergy modeling, heat, cooling, and detailed calculations.Coordinate with architectural and other consultants to ensure potential conflicts are resolved.Work on multiple projects concurrently.Observe and understand existing mechanical systems and provide suggestions for improvements.Keep current on industry innovations, construction practices, products, and applicable codes.Provide support for site meetings and inspections and contract administration as required.
