This individual will grow and lead a team of engineers, oversee and technically contribute towards ongoing projects, and collaborate cross-functionally with other teams, executive staff and product management to fulfill our Roadmap.Your primary responsibilities will be to manage and mentor a growing (~7+) team of software engineers, review and potentially write industry-leading code and work alongside the wider engineering team in delivering software to meet the needs of our customers. To succeed in this role, you will have a passion for software development, be willing to actively contribute to a culture of collaboration and innovation, and possess a background in the SaaS space. As a Senior Software Engineering Manager with our clients, there are extra specialties we’re on the lookout for:BS in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent education7+ years of development experience (preferably in Python and/or Javascript/Typescript/React.js)4+ years of managing engineering teams4+ years of SaaS product experienceExperience with large scale applications in a cloud platform, with preferred experience on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)Success at participating in cross-functional engineering teams; naturally collaborative but decisive when neededAbility to manage technical projects and schedules in a rapid-growth environment, to coordinate successful/timely releases and achieve quality objectivesProvide demonstrated leadership and stellar people-management and conflict-resolution skillsStrong communication skills, analytical skills and a thorough understanding of software engineeringExperience in leading delivery teams in agile software engineering practicesAbility to convincingly articulate complex analytical ideas in a simple way to a variety of key stakeholders from different functionsExperience working with people across different geographies, including remote management of people and deliverablesExperience with Chromium is preferredForward you resume to Elliot at elliot.thomson@akkodisgroup.com and mention 'Senior Software Engineering Manager' in the Subject or please apply directly to the post
