Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Program Manager to support the Operations Performance of the A220 program. The primary mandate of this role is to oversee the performance of the overall Value Stream Management (VSM) for the A220, which includes managing major component suppliers, the Pre-FAL business unit, and the two Final Assembly Lines (FAL) until the transfer to the Customer Line organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • VSM Performance Management : Gather and analyze pertinent information from all relevant stakeholders to assess and manage the performance of the A220 VSM, aligning with the needs and objectives of leadership team and Commercial leadership team. This will include the development of key performance measures for tracking progress.
  • Governance Management : Provide governance oversight and leadership to ensure that performance measures are accurately reflected and communicated across all organizational levels within.
  • Risk and Opportunity Management : Identify, anticipate, and manage risks and opportunities within Operations, particularly those that could have financial impacts on the A220 Program or Commercial. Proactively manage potential issues and deviations to minimize adverse impacts.
  • Stakeholder Coordination and Collaboration : Act as the primary point of contact and facilitator for all stakeholders involved in the A220 VSM. This includes coordinating with multiple teams and related functions to ensure alignment and that collective objectives are met. The role will require significant leadership and communication skills to ensure cross-functional collaboration.
  • Integration of A220 VSM : Lead the integration of the A220 VSM, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment between operational functions across both organizations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in aerospace program management, specifically in operations or performance management for large-scale manufacturing programs.
  • Strong understanding of Value Stream Management (VSM), particularly in the aerospace industry.
  • Experience with risk and opportunity management, including financial and operational impact assessment.
  • Excellent leadership and team coordination skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholders and functions.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to anticipate issues and proactively address challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex data and performance measures to senior leadership teams.
