Its an exciting time to be part of the Give & Go team as we are growing rapidly and want you to become a part of our growth and extraordinarily bright futureJob Overview:As the Regulatory Affairs Assistant is responsible for providing clear and timely regulatory input to the Product Development and Purchasing Departments for ingredients for new innovation projects, as well as existing ingredient changes, ensuring that local and international requirements are fully met. The role will be tasked with combining knowledge of scientific, legal, and business issues to ensure ingredients used in products manufactured and distributed by Give & Go meet appropriate legislation.**This is an 8-Month Contract role**What You’ll Get To Do:Ensure new/alternate supplier and new/substitution ingredient approval process is followed and maintained at all timesBecome familiar with Give & Go supplier and ingredient requirements and ensure new ingredients are compliant with customer requirements as well as relevant regulations and other legislationFollow up with suppliers to obtain all required documentationReview supplier and ingredient documentation and meet with Regulatory Affairs Manager to obtain final approvalsEnsure information related to regulatory approvals is circulated to the appropriate departments.Assist in the maintenance of formulas and ensure records are updated as appropriateCompleting Engineering Master requests from the Marketing teamAssist in assigning new codes for formulas and ingredients and requesting new and updated codes for all other product components from MDP’sInform relevant team members when formulations changeAssist in the maintenance of the label review scheduleAdd all newly approved artwork to the master scheduleAdd product claims and verification timelines to product schedulesOrganize analytical nutritional reports from third party laboratoriesAssist with submitting Canadian Dairy Commission (CDC) applications for new formulas with dairy ingredientsReview newly launched formulas from Finance teams and obtain amounts of dairy ingredients qualifying for rebateSubmit applications for rebate to the CDCStay informed of new applicable laws and maintain up-to-date knowledge on food labelling regulations through attending courses, webinars, and the use of regulatory agencies’ websites Participate in weekly learnings shared by the teamInform the team if any emerging risks that may impact labelling and regulatory requirementsThe Recipe for Success:Completion of university degree in Nutrition, Food Science, or a related scientific fieldMinimum 1 year’s experience in the Food Manufacturing industry Minimum 1 year’s experience in a Regulatory Affairs roleWhat We Offer:It’s an exciting time to be part of the Give & Go team as we are growing rapidly and want you to become a part our growth and extraordinarily bright future.
