Qu'allez vous faire:

Johnson Controls est à la recherche d'un concepteur électronique senior pour ses installations de R&D à Brossard, QC, à proximité des autoroutes 30, 10 et du REM. Dans ce rôle, vous serez responsable de la conception du matériel électronique analogique et numérique pour la prochaine génération de produits d'alarme incendie ainsi que du support des gammes de produits existantes. Le travail peut inclure la conception de systèmes intégrés, des circuits de petits signaux et d'instrumentation, des alimentations à découpage, des interfaces utilisateur sur le panneau avant, des amplificateurs audio, des réseaux point-à-point, des alimentations linéaires, des capteurs, des détecteurs et de la fibre optique. En tant que concepteur électronique senior, vous développerez la prochaine génération de notre matériel électronique pour le département de détection d'incendie de Johnson Controls. Nos produits de détection d'incendie sont utilisés dans les bâtiments que vous visitez quotidiennement C'est l'occasion de participer au sein d'une équipe à la conception de la prochaine génération de produits utilisés dans nos systèmes d'alarme incendie.

Comment allez-vous procéder:
  • Travailler à la conception et à l'analyse de systèmes analogiques et numériques.
  • Travailler à la conception de systèmes embarqués incluant des microcontrôleurs.
  • Travailler avec d'autres organisations pour concevoir, développer et lancer de nouveaux produits en production.
  • Travailler en équipe pour générer des solutions créatives aux besoins de l'industrie.
  • Comprendre comment concevoir des équipements pour répondre aux certifications des agences (UL, ULC, CE, FCC, etc.)
Ce que nous recherchons:
  • Baccalauréat en génie électrique/électronique.
  • 10+ années d'expérience dans la conception électronique liée aux produits ou systèmes analogiques, de puissance, audio ou embarqués.
  • Connaissance et expérience au niveau des composants électroniques discrets.
  • Expérience en CAO électronique (capture de schémas, simulation de circuits ou connexe).
  • Capacité à bien travailler avec les autres dans un environnement collaboratif couvrant plusieurs pays.
  • Expérience dans la transition de produits vers la fabrication.
  • (Atouts) Conception d'alimentations, microprocesseurs et conception de systèmes embarqués.

What you will do:

Johnson Controls is searching for a Senior Electronics Designer to be located at the R&D facility in Brossard, QC, close by highways 30,10 and REM. In this role you will be responsible for designing electronic analog & digital hardware for the next generation of fire alarm products as well as supporting existing product lines. Work may include embedded system designs, small signal and instrumentation circuitry, switch mode power supplies, front panel user interfaces, audio amplifiers, peer-to-peer networking, linear power supplies, sensors, detectors, and fiber optics. As a Senior Electronics Designer you will develop the next generation of our electronics hardware for the Fire Detection business at Johnson Controls. Our fire detection products are embedded in buildings you visit every day This is an opportunity to participate within a team to design the next generation of hardware used in our Fire Alarm Systems.

How you will do it:
  • Work on analog and digital designs and analysis.
  • Work on microcontroller and embedded system designs.
  • Work with other organizations to conceive, develop, and release new products to production.
  • Work in a team environment to generate creative solutions to product needs.
  • Understand how to design equipment to meet agency certifications (UL, ULC, CE, FCC, etc.)
What we look for:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in electronics design related to analog, power, audio, or embedded products or systems.
  • Discrete electronic component-level knowledge and experience.
  • Experience with electronic CAD (schematic capture, circuit simulation, or related).
  • Ability to work well with others in a Team environment that spans multiple countries.
  • Experience transitioning products to manufacturing.
  • (Assets) Power supply design, microprocessors, and embedded system design.
  • (Assets) Altium Designer CAD experience.

About the Manager :

My name is Sebastien Choquette. I've been working in the fire detection industry for 10+ years. My experience includes research, digital and analog circuits designs. If you consider this role, we will work together in a collaborative team environment where each designer is responsible for an assigned project of product development from the specifications to the transition into one of our manufacturing factory which are located outside our R&D facility in Brossard. Expect to be challenged in this role to learn new tools and systems, tackle complicated projects, make engineering judgements in the face of uncertainty, and conduct exploratory analysis to evaluate system performance and certification agencies requirements. As a leader, I'm focused on continuous learning and development - both building our own engineering skillsets, but also improving our processes and products.
