We want engineers who care deeply about building maintainable software, serving customers, and collaborating with their peers to come up with the best solution. We believe that software development is a team sport, collaboration is essential to success, and that a team owes each other their best effort every day.What You Will Do:Build and maintain our Typescript and React applicationParticipate in system design activities, at all levels from feature design to whole system architectureWork closely with the Product team to design solutions to our customer problemsAct as a teacher and coach to other engineers on the team, and be eager to learn from them as wellYou may have the opportunity to work directly with customersWhat You Bring to The Team – The Tools & The TalentA Winning ApproachYou are collaborative and enjoy working in a team You can lead or follow as the situation requiresYou want to build software that is good for users, good for customers, and good for the other engineers that are working on it - and you have an idea of how to do all of those things at onceThe Spot-on SkillsYou have an understanding of automated testing and building software for qualityYou are comfortable discussing and making tradeoffs that consider multiple factors, such as time to market, maintainability, performance and customer needsYou understand software architecture principles, and how high quality systems are built in a modern teamThe Track Record5+ years of experience building products, preferably web applicationsYou have worked on complex softwareYou can talk about design patterns, software architecture, system design, and the tradeoffs to be made when making decisionsYou’ve worked in an agile software environmentThe Knowledge FitHands on experience with React or Typescript in the backendExperience with AWS applications, even better if you’re familiar with managing AWS with IaCYou have experience with relational databases, and how to use their strengthsDocker Bonus if you have worked with Government tech, and/or directly with customersWhat's In It For YouAt Cocoflo, achievement is team based.
