Universal Precision Technology is a well-established organization that specializes in the manufacturing of precision components and sub-assemblies for the aerospace, aircraft, military, medical, optical and defense sectors. We are looking to increase our diverse and dynamic team with the addition of skilled individuals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Set-up and operate multiple CNC Machines (Milling, Lathe, EDM);
Programming is an asset;
Follow and comply with all AS9100 and ISO 9001:2015 manufacturing and quality standards, regulations, legislative and customer requirements to ensure highest standards are maintained;
Ability to read and interpret drawings;
Verify dimensions of parts and tools using precision measuring instruments;
Keep machines and surrounding area clean while maintaining a safe work environment;
Abide with instructions, regulations and safety policies;
Perform other duties as instructed or required to successfully complete the job
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION
Minimum 2 years demonstrated ability to set up and operate CNC's mills, lathes or EDMs;
The ability to interpret results from CMM;
Motivated to learn and able to work independently with minimal supervision;
Willingness to cross train on other types of machinery is an asset;
Mastercam, Solidworks and Esprit programming knowledge is an asset;
Excellent knowledge of tooling, gauges and the ability to operate and understand precision measuring tools;
Effectively communicate information with managers and other employees, both verbal and in writing;
Able to work under pressure
ADDITONAL REQUIREMENTS
Basic security clearance (Controlled Goods Program);
Own steel toe safety shoes
