Azure Data Solutions Specialist On behalf of our client in the Government Services Sector, PROCOM is looking for an Azure Data Solutions Specialist. Azure Data Solutions Specialist - Job Description
As an Azure Data Solutions Specialist, you will be responsible for advising clients on optimizing their information technology frameworks through strategic use of Microsoft Azure services
This role involves enhancing business processes and IT infrastructures, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient solutions that align with business goals
This position requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in the Microsoft technology stack, particularly Microsoft Azure Data Factory
The specialist will design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, oversee data integration, and create robust analytics solutions that support decision-making processes
This role is pivotal in migrating existing systems to Azure-based platforms, ensuring data integrity and system efficiency
Azure Data Solutions Specialist - Mandatory Skills
10 years of experience in the Microsoft technology stack, with at least 4 years focused on Microsoft Azure Data Factory
Proficiency in Azure services including Azure Data Factory, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, and Power BI
Strong experience in data migration from Cognos/Informatica to Power BI solutions
Expertise in designing and implementing interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards using SSRS and Power BI
Familiarity with Microsoft DevOps, including pipelines, datasets, triggers, and other Azure Data Factory components
Azure Data Solutions Specialist - Preferred Skills
Strong problem-solving skills and excellent teamwork capabilities
Effective communication skills, capable of working collaboratively with IT teams and business stakeholders
Experience in public sector projects, ideally within organizations of a similar size or complexity to the Ontario Public Service
Knowledge of data modeling, including star and snowflake schemas in MS SQL and Oracle databases
Understanding of change management principles and methodologies
