Squamish BC, Canada Nesters Market Full time

Nesters Market* is currently seeking an *Assistant Store Manager* for our store located in *Squamish, BC. *This role is Full-Time and reports to the Store Manager.
*Oversee daily store operations, supervise employees and manage inventory
* Maintain store staffing levels to meet the needs of our customers, while operating within budgeted wage costs
* Monitor performance of staff and develop employees to their full potential
* Manage and motivate the team to increase sales, meet targets and exceed budgeted goals, while ensuring operational efficiency
* Analyze and compare sales data for effective merchandising
* Handle customer queries and complaints in a timely and professional manner
* Comply with the Company’s established Health and Safety and Food Safety policies and ensure that staff members are also adhering to these policies
* Provide a safe and clean store environment to protect both staff and customers
* Building solid relationships with customers and vendors, while actively seeking new business development opportunities through networking and community events
* Liaise with the store manager, department heads and staff to address any concerns, discuss upcoming ads or promotions, cross merchandising, etc.
* Previous relevant grocery, retail and/or food service supervisory experience
* Knowledge of health and safety legislation, policies and practices
* Experience in effective merchandising that drives sales
* Flexibility to work a variety of hours which include days, evenings, weekends and stat holidays
*Must be able to be on your feet for up to an entire 8-hour shift
