We have an immediate opening for an experienced, full-time associate with 2-4+ years of litigation and dispute resolution experience. The position will involve working on a variety of litigation matters including insolvency and restructuring matters, corporate litigation disputes, and real property disputes. The position will primarily involve drafting pleadings, research and strategy, chamber applications, preparation for and attendance at trial, discoveries, appeals, arbitrations, and mediations. With an emphasis on collaboration, we hold weekly practice group meetings to ensure our lawyers remain connected and supported by their team as they develop their individual practices. The size of our firm provides the administrative infrastructure required to support our lawyers’ busy practices, while still providing the best aspects of small firm culture. RequirementsA JD/LLB and Member of the Law Society of British Columbia2+ years of commercial litigation experienceExtremely detail oriented, ability to work efficiently and meet deadlinesQuick learner with a proactive approach to problem solvingStrong organizational and project management skillsSelf-directed, able to take the lead on filesSound judgment and ability to understand their client’s perspectiveDeadline driven, ability to thrive in a fast-paced environmentAnalytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills SalaryWe are on a lockstep compensation model for years 1-5.
