IT/Systems Project Manager- ERPApex Systems is a global IT services provider, and our practice has an opening in the Online Retail space for a Solution Delivery Analyst with general technology experience, as well as Jira ticketing experience, documentation and client facing verbal and written communication to place at our client.Start date: ASAP.Location: Oakville/ hybrid.Contract - Contract to HireIT/Systems Project ManagerOur Client delivers live & virtual events and experiences for some of the world’s biggest brands. They are always seeking new and better ways to enable teams to work seamlessly and accomplish more.Our Client is looking for an IT/Systems Project Manager to join the team to work closely with their core business systems and alongside the IT department. Reporting directly to the Vice President, Technology, this is a profile role that requires strong project management acumen and an understanding of business process in addition to technical expertise.On any given day, the IT/Systems Project Manager will be working with end users, company leadership, or outside IT/Software vendors. The ability to communicate with many different types of individuals with differing levels of technical understanding will be critical. There’s multiple technology projects on the go at any time, in varying sizes & scopes.RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and create a plan that aligns with strategic objectives.Coordinate and organize all internal and external resources to ensure punctual delivery of all projects within scope and budget.Develop, plan and analyze the required resources and standards of each project.Conduct team meetings to determine progress and address any concerns/challenges with the appropriate individual(s) while keeping the Vice President, Technology informed.Communicate and work effectively with individuals on the business & technical sides of our organization.Recommend IT/Systems strategies, policies/procedures, or new solutions by identifying problems, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements.Monitor all phases of each project, including expenditures, implementing change where necessary.Addresses and helps ‘trouble-shoot’ issues that arise with a project, both with the client and/or internal stakeholders.Accurately, effectively manage any sized project with limited supervision.Establish and maintain work back schedules and communicate changes to appropriate team members.Assign and oversee the daily tasks of any assigned team members while ensuring they are actively working towards established milestones.REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS: Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university; and 6-8 years’ experience as an IT Project Manager in a Marketing or software development environment successfully executing projects and programs and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Must have a strong technical background in end-to-end software projects with strong SDLC methodologies experienceExperience with Microsoft Dynamics SL, Acumatica ERP, Marketo, Salesforce CRM, is strongly preferredSkilled in Web Services, API, and Data Modelling along with common project management tools, like Smartsheet or MondayUnderstanding of Microsoft Power BI considered an assetPMP or Project Management Certifications are a plusExcellent time management and organizational skills, and experience providing guidance in these areas for othersStrong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising teamsProven ability to take in requirements from end users & business stakeholders and translate those requirements into technical solutions, working with development/technology teamsComfortable working in a nimble, fast-paced IT environment and promoting a teamwork mentalityDemonstrated proficiency working with remote teams, including near & offshore resourcesExperience working in similar roles in the exhibits/tradeshows, live events, advertising, experiential marketing industry is considered a strong asset.Strong problem-solving skillsResults-oriented mindsetExcellent attention to detailProficiency in managing cross-functional teamsExcellent social and communication skills, with the ability to build a rapport and extract requirements from stakeholdersMethodical, disciplined approach to capturing requirementsMust have a good “business sense”.Proficient using Microsoft office programs.
