Are you highly collaborative and believe that the best results are achieved through strong relationships and partnerships?THE ROLEThe Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for the internal and external reporting of Trimac’s operations. The job description below reflects the common knowledge and responsibilities of all entities. This position has no direct reports.Financial Reporting:Prepare monthly operations packages for various business segments.Assist in preparing quarterly the Board and Audit Committee packages, including Financial and MD&A summaries and charts.Prepare and review routine and non-routine journal entries for month-end processes.Prepare journal entries for acquisitions and assist with integration.Complete non-bank account reconciliationsYear-end note disclosures for various entitiesSupport year-end audit process and audit requirements.Management Accounting:Summarize large amounts of data to analyze key performance indicators (e.g. variance, trend, price, volume, efficiency, cost, acquisition growth, etc.)Ad-hoc analysis – ability to create solutions to one-time queries or create sustainable reports as needed.Assist with the annual budget process.Ensure proper maintenance of internal controls and procedures.Technical skills:4-5 years of accounting or business analyst experienceBachelor's degree in commerce or similar, CPA designation preferred.Advanced Excel skill levelStrong knowledge of systems including ERP (Microsoft Dynamics, PeopleSoft, etc.)Direction Received / Impact of Errors:Reports to Manager of Operations AccountingThis position can also receive direction from the Controller or CFOThe possible impact of errors can include misstatement of financials.SAFETY COMITTMENTSWe make Safety a part of every decision.We make Safety personal.We have the courage to intervene.Trimac Transportation is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to employment equity.
