Maritime Launch is developing Spaceport Nova Scotia, a launch site that will provide satellite delivery services to clients in support of the growing commercial space transportation industry over a wide range of inclinations from a single site. Spaceport Nova Scotia will allow launch vehicles to place their satellites into low-earth orbit. Spaceport Nova Scotia is Canada’s first commercial orbital launch complex. The People Manager will oversee employee relations, recruitment, training, and development initiatives. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with employment regulations, fostering a positive workplace culture, implementing HR policies, and addressing employee concerns. Additionally, the People Manager will play a key role in performance management, designing retention strategies, and supporting organizational development goals. Qualifications Strong leadership, relationship management, and conflict resolution skills Proven experience in employee recruitment, onboarding, and talent development Knowledge of employment laws, HR policies, and compliance standards Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making abilities Experience with performance management and employee engagement strategies Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field HR certifications (e.g., CHRP/SHRM) are a plus Experience in organizational development or workforce planning is an asset
