BMW is a cutting-edge, industry-leading technologically superior automobile. A successful candidate will be servicing and repairing all components and systems including HV drivetrains.Accountabilities and Responsibilities:Ensuring repairs and maintenance are performed efficiently and to Brian Jessel BMW Quality StandardsExamining the vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is requiredInspect motor in operation, road test motor vehicle, Diagnose Electronic and test automotive systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose and isolate faultsPerform road tests to confirm concerns and verify repairs.Reviewing Daily all-new Service Bulletins and Information via the BMW ExtranetCooperating with all technicians, providing technical advice, and working to maximize the benefits of our diversified knowledge baseEnsuring all high-level diagnostic repairs and comeback repairs are Quality Control Checked by the Respective Shop ForemanEnsuring all equipment needed to provide efficient service is kept in good working order.Providing guidance and training of apprenticesWorking with the Service Advisors to ensure all necessary service and repair work is brought to the customer’s attentionProviding clear and concise notes and time tickets for all repairsWorking cooperatively with the Warranty Administrator to ensure time and job descriptions are well documentedPrompt return and labelling of all Warranty Parts to Parts Department warranty shelfNotifying and establishing any unsafe conditions in the WorkplaceNotifying and documenting on the repair order any unsafe vehicleMaintaining a clean workplace and cleanliness for Customer’s vehiclesNotifying the Shop Foreman or Manager of any damage not noted on the repair order or damage caused by a repairReview work orders and discuss work with Team Leader or Shop ForemanBrian Jessel BMW employment provides:BMW factory equipment and tools to perform complex diagnostics and repairsBMW factory training with access to two BMW training facilities in Canada. As well as access to a vast library of BMW-specific online training.Brain Jessel supports technician development through participation in BMW Certified and Master technician programs. The highest level BMW technicians are recognized and rewarded with trips to driving events, factory visits, etc.Flexible shifts Monday to Saturday 8:30-5. Possible 4/10 shift 7:30-6Extended benefit packageJob Specifications:Minimum 5 years of experience, with Red Seal CertificationProven work experience with BMW vehicles an assetMust be comfortable in diagnosis and repairing mechanical and electrical problemsMust be able to work independently and in a team when requiredJobs include but are not limited to Clutch/suspension/front end/timing belt/head gasket/alignmentReynolds and Reynolds computer experience preferredAbility to work with all levels of management and staffAbility to work independently, with little or no supervisionVery detail-oriented and possesses strong organizational skillsA team player and is capable of interacting professionally with both staff, and customersAdaptability and flexibility to ensure the highest level of service for staff and clientsGood people skills, with the ability to effectively work and communicate with other members of the dealershipGood written and verbal communication skillsValid driver’s license with clean driver abstractTraining:Interprovincial Mechanical Repair QualificationBMW Factory Training as requiredBMW On-Line S.I.P. trainingBMW University Training, Richmond LocationCompensation: $38.00-$47.00 per hour + bonus planWork Environment:Our hours of operations are below.
