With an annual budget of $3.5 million and a committed team of 25+, NECRC is seeking skilled Executive Director with strong connections to the North End to lead our dynamic organization toward greater community impact and sustainable growth.About NECRC:NECRC is a non-profit organization committed to revitalizing the North End of Winnipeg. Our mission is to address our community's diverse needs with focus on, safety initiatives, economic development, housing, recreation, food security, and cultural enrichment.Role Overview:As the Executive Director, you will be the driving force behind NECRC's strategic vision and operational excellence. Working closely with our Board of Directors, your responsibilities will include comprehensive management tasks such as strategic planning, policy development, administrative oversight, and promoting a workplace culture of respect, safety, and inclusion, fostering collaboration and consensus among stakeholders to realize our shared goals.Responsibilities:Lead the ongoing execution of NECRC's strategic plan, aligning with community prioritiesCollaborate with the Board to develop effective governance policiesProvide administrative oversight and foster a culture of respect and inclusionDrive strategic and operational planningBudget managementDevelop and execute fundraising strategies to ensure financial sustainabilityOversee HR functions, including recruitment, training, and evaluationCultivate positive relationships with stakeholders, including both government and non government agencies community, and mediaEnsure compliance with legal and regulatory requirementsQualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in relevant fields (e.g., Economic Development, Community Development, Business, Social Work)Minimum 3 years of senior management experienceFamiliarity with North End of WinnipegExperience with financial management Collaborative leadership styleProject and risk management skillsDemonstrated understanding of community development practices and economic empowermentAbility to lead diverse teams and foster inclusion and equityExceptional communication and public speaking skillsStrong understanding of systemic barriers faced by Indigenous PeoplesProven track record of building relationships across sectorsHigh level of political acumen Comprehensive level of skill and comfort with TechnologyEthical, diplomatic, and resilient Conflict resolution skillsExperience in grant writing and resource developmentValid driver's license and access to a vehicleJoin Our Team:If you're passionate about facilitating positive change and empowering communities, we invite you to apply for the Executive Director position at NECRC.
