To be successful, this dynamic team player must be a strong communicator with a passion for delivering helpful, positive service not only to our customers but to the communities we serve.As an Assistant Store Manager, you will:Develop sales through:Timely execution of freight on to the sales floorExecution and maintenance of zone-a-grams, ISM and seasonal countersCompliance with our store merchandising conceptsSafely storing overstock and reviewing it on a regular basisCommunication with the Store Manager regarding out of stock positionsDevelop people through:Understanding, practicing and enforcing company policies and standard operating proceduresFostering team spiritPerformance managementAssisting in effective staff schedulingAssisting with new hire onboarding and trainingPositive, effective and respectful communication with all team membersDeliver quality customer service by:Executing customer service initiativesEmbodying our values with PRIDEEnsuring Fields’ customer service standards are maintainedSupporting community eventsSupport operational controls by:Ensuring health & safety compliance to company policies and government regulationsEnsuring compliance with company standards creating a clean, easy to shop, customer friendly storeEnforcing standard operating procedures and policies to achieve company objectivesExecuting opening and closing proceduresUnderstanding store profitability, sales, expenses and markdownsEffectively managing your time and the time of Associates to maximize productivityDelegating tasks and responsibilitiesAssisting with loss preventionYou will accomplish this by:Conducting yourself in a mature, professional, friendly manner at all timesEmphasizing open, honest and positive communicationPlanning, organizing and multi-tasking at a quick pace while ensuring accuracyProtecting company assets, monies and confidential documentationUnderstanding store profitability, sales, turnover, expenses, markdowns and budgetingFamiliarizing yourself and your team with local competition, community events, customer’s income sources, new and growing needs for your business and your customer.Who You Are:You have exposure to commercial or retail industry.You possess strong customer service and leadership skills.You have ability to communicate professionally – verbal and written.You are self motivated, show initiative, proactive and can work with minimal supervisionYou are detail oriented and possess strong follow through skills.FIELDS provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all its team members and applicants for employment without regard to race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, family status, genetic characteristics, disability and conviction for an offence for which a pardon has been granted or in respect of which a record suspension has been ordered.
