Travel throughout the GTA area may be required.About the Role Visit pretender site meetings and site investigations Perform quantity / material take-offs Checking estimates for accuracy and errors Solicit subtrade pricing Budgeting and cost control Evaluating subtrade quotations during tendering Finalization of tender forms for submittal Analysis and summarizing successful and unsuccessful tenders Submittal of bonding and insurance requirements Communicate with Owners and Consultants Assess and evaluate risks of each tendered project Update and Coordinate Request for Tender and Quotation documents with subtrades Ability to develop preliminary construction scheduled using MS ProjectSkills and Experience 8 to 10 years experience working as a Project EstimatorExperience estimating new build ICI projects Post-secondary education in a construction related program Professional attitude Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal Highly organized Great attention to detail Solid computer skills in particular MS Excel Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a self-directed manner Strong time management skills Ability to work flexible hours as required
