Role is hybrid in Mississauga.Required Skills: ● Documented experience with sequencing/genomic data analysis (NGS), especially in the area of high-throughput sequence analysis ● Proficient in general bioinformatics tools including tools for sequence alignment, variant analysis, and database queries ● Proficient in Python and R ● Proficient working in a Linux HPC environment ● Hands-on experience in workflow management system (e.g. Nextflow, Snakemake) ● Working understanding of biological concepts and experimental methods commonly used in molecular biology and interest to learn more ● Excellent communication, advanced English reading, writing, listening and speaking skills; Responsible and reliable, goal and task oriented. Preferred Skills: ● Strong statistical background ● Experience with version control and familiarity with issue tracking systems (i.e .JIRA). ● Familiarity with database languages such as SQL ● Experience with container-based virtualization (i.e. Docker) ● Familiarity with R Shiny App development ● Experience with immune repertoires data analysis
