Location : Fredericton, New Brunswick Contract Term : November 17, 2025 – November 13, 2026 Rate : Up to $90-95/hour (max) Work Hours : 7.25 hours/day, full-time Language : English On-site: Yes (some remote work may be allowed) Position Overview Service New Brunswick (SNB) is seeking a Senior SQL Developer to join the Health Application Services (HAS) branch. This role focuses on supporting and evolving the Data Sharing Platform (DSP) — a key analytics and reporting environment for provincial healthcare data. The work includes a mix of ongoing support and project-based initiatives, contributing to database development, data conversion, analytics preparation, and technical governance. Key Responsibilities Support and enhance the Data Sharing Platform (DSP) Perform database conversions and prepare data for analytics Design and implement secure data-sharing architectures Troubleshoot and resolve issues within health-related systems Maintain and develop SQL Server environments including: Databases, tables, views, functions, stored procedures, indexes Scheduled jobs, triggers, SSIS packages Build and maintain SSRS reports and Power BI dashboards Administer BI platforms, with preference for Power BI Participate in system architecture involving multiple domains Collaborate with teams and participate in scrums After-hours or weekend work may be required (with prior approval) Mandatory Qualifications Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)15+ years of experience in IM/IT 10+ years of experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)5+ years of experience supporting health applications in Canadian Provincial Health environments Excellent written and verbal English communication Available to work on-site in Fredericton, NB, starting November 17, 2025 Preferred Qualifications 5+ years recent experience in health analytics/reporting 10+ years experience with SQL Server (2012+) Strong BI experience (especially Power BI)5+ years designing/deploying SSRS or Power BI dashboards 8+ years implementing technical solutions in operational environments 8+ years enterprise-level architectural experience 3+ years working with Cognos/Impromptu Candidates who currently reside in New Brunswick or are willing to relocate will be given priority. This role requires participation in a hybrid work environment based in Fredericton. Candidates who are unable to relocate to New Brunswick or participate in a hybrid work environment based in Fredericton will not be considered for this role.
