Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada ASMBL Full time
About Us ASMBL develops tech for companies working at or towards enterprise-level scale, through a conscious use of resources that frees them to focus on their mission. We believe tech that frees people to focus on what really matters is tech that can change the world. We're a team of digital strategists, engineers, designers, and business analysts, but we're also brainstormers, big thinkers and dreamers who are driven by potential. Our commitment to open collaboration, trust and transparency allows us to continue to build products that go beyond the transactional to meaningfully impact people's lives, offer a deeper interaction, and elevate how your business or service is experienced as a whole.
We have an HQ in Seattle, but we're a globally remote team. Our people collaborate on equal footing regardless of region, department or title to creative cohesive, collectively vetted processes and products that help our clients achieve true digital transformation.

Your mission is to seamlessly integrate our applications into these diverse environments, ensuring they meet the needs of our clients and their stakeholders. You'll anticipate scalability challenges and champion solutions that are not only robust but also easy to understand and implement, even for developers who may not specialize in these systems.

At Assemble, you'll play a key role in shaping and advancing our Systems Engineering practice. By streamlining operations across projects, you'll help accelerate onboarding, reduce cognitive load during context switching, and promote clear, transparent solutions that make collaboration smoother for everyone.

Pair with developers in a training/mentor capacity as they work through ongoing systems engineering tasks
Partner with PMs, POs, and other project stakeholders to manage intake of requirements and ad-hoc requests from clients or internal teams, triaging, prioritizing, and delegating as necessary
Engage in 1:1s, mentoring sessions, or guild programming to mentor and enable developers in their systems engineering skills
Consult with project architects to align on ops requirements to meet their roadmap milestones and beyond, align on conventions and business strategy
Partner with clients and external stakeholders in their strategic decision making, interpreting complex technical details into communicable business value
Partner with department and pod leadership to capitalize on optimization and growth opportunities for the Systems Engineering organization

Recent work focuses on leading significant infrastructural or systems engineering initiatives
Substantial Rails or equivalent backend MVC framework and ORM experience
You see unusual constraints as opportunities for creative problem solving, rather than obstacles.
Lifting Each Other Up: We help others succeed along the way.
Assemble, Inc. is a proud equal opportunity employer committed to creating and fostering an environment of unity, and diversity among our staff. All qualified applicants are treated respectfully and will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender expressions and identities, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age or veteran status, or marital status.
