At PSI Payroll Services Inc. (PSI) , part of the global IRIS Software Group , payroll isn’t just about numbers - it’s about people. Our boutique, high-touch services are trusted by businesses across North America because we make sure employees are paid accurately, on time, and in full compliance . That trust starts with you. As a Client Payroll Executive , you’ll be part of the team managing PSI’s largest and most complex Canadian payrolls . You’ll take ownership of payrolls end-to-end, working directly with clients to ensure every calculation, deduction, and benefit is handled correctly. From commissions and stock plans to taxable benefits and year-end reconciliations, you’ll be the trusted expert that clients rely on every single pay cycle. This is a role where your expertise isn’t just valued - it’s essential. The accuracy of your work shapes the confidence of our clients, the experience of their employees, and the reputation of PSI and IRIS. This role can be based anywhere in the US with a planned start date of November 2025, but you’ll need to be able to work Eastern Time hours to collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues. 🧾 Why This Role Matters Payroll is personal – Getting it right means peace of mind for thousands of employees and their families. You’re the expert advisor – Clients see you as their go-to partner for Canadian payroll questions and challenges. Compliance is critical – Every province has its own rules. Your knowledge of tax, pay codes, and regulations keeps payrolls accurate and clients confident. You drive client success – The level of service you provide is what makes clients stay with PSI for the long term. 👥 About the Team You'll Join You’ll be part of our Client Services division , within the specialist team that manages PSI’s largest and most complex Canadian payrolls . While other teams focus on mid-sized or less complex client needs, this group is trusted with the payrolls that require the highest level of accuracy, compliance knowledge, and attention to detail. We don’t just process numbers - we build strong client relationships, solve tough payroll challenges, and deliver the boutique service that sets PSI apart. Working closely with colleagues in Implementation and Operations, you’ll ensure new clients transition smoothly and existing clients continue to receive the expert service they expect. 📊 What You'll Be Doing Take full ownership of the payroll and audit function for a portfolio of Canadian clients with high levels of complexity. Schedule, process, and balance payrolls - ensuring every calculation, deduction, stock option, commission, and taxable benefit is handled correctly. Maintain accurate client and employee records, with detailed processing instructions. Serve as the first point of contact for clients, managing questions, solving issues, and keeping communication clear. Deliver excellent service within strict timelines, ensuring compliance at every step. Manage year-end processes including T4s, RL-1s, EHT reconciliations, Workers’ Compensation filings, and more . Partner with the Implementation team to review new client setups and support seamless transitions. Identify and suggest opportunities to improve systems, processes, and client outcomes. 🔎 What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone with a proven track record in Canadian payroll who thrives on accuracy, compliance, and client care. You should bring: Significant Canadian payroll experience – with solid understanding of legislation and compliance across multiple provinces . Proven experience working in a payroll bureau or outsourced environment , managing payrolls for multiple external clients rather than internal employees. End-to-end payroll processing confidence - including calculations, verifications, deductions, commissions, stock options, and taxable benefits. Demonstrated ability to handle quarterly and year-end reporting (T4s, RL-1s, ROEs, etc.) accurately and on time. Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification preferred, or actively working toward completion. Comfortable using MS Office (especially Excel) to analyse, reconcile, and validate payroll data with precision. Excellent attention to detail , analytical ability, and organisational skills. Strong client communication and service orientation — able to explain payroll complexities clearly and maintain trusted relationships. 🎁 What You’ll Gain The chance to be part of the team trusted with PSI’s largest and most complex Canadian payrolls . Specialist expertise in multi-provincial payroll compliance and advanced payroll processes. Career growth opportunities within IRIS, a global leader in payroll and HR services. A collaborative culture that values ownership, quality, and client care. Competitive pay, benefits, and recognition for the critical work you do. 📝 Our Application Process We keep things clear and supportive: 1️⃣ Apply online Send us your CV and details of your Canadian payroll experience. 2️⃣ Initial Interview (plus Online Assessments) A chat with our Talent team. Two short assessments: CCAT (15-minute timed test). EPP (untimed personality questionnaire). 3️⃣ Final interview (plus Case Study) Meet two of our Client Payroll Managers. As part of this stage, you’ll also complete a case study to demonstrate your technical knowledge of running end-to-end Canadian payroll . If you’re a Canadian payroll professional who thrives on complexity, compliance, and client trust, we’d love to hear from you. Join PSI Payroll Services Inc. and be part of the team clients count on for the payrolls that matter most.
