Hays has partnered with a leading French Bank in Montreal to hire a Senior Controller with a CPA in Montreal for a permanent role. The position is Hybrid - 3 days on site.If the below position interests you, please share your Resume at nishmitha.dsa@hays.com as next stepsRequirementsResponsible for the Canadian service company financial accountingEnsuring that the service company complies with the Group’s policies and Canadian tax regulationLiaise with our Canadian and NY colleagues and our external and internal auditorsParticipate to the preparation of the annual budgetEnsure accuracy of the General LedgerBe a business partner to the senior managementMonitor management results and service agreementsMonitor Management results vs the budgetPrepare and produce all Canadian financial reporting and ensure proper quality assurance of general ledgerProvide accounting analysis in accordance with Canadian rulesPrepare and manage income and VAT tax forms including examination and oversight of any tax analysis for corporate income tax, VAT, and transfer pricing agreementParticipate to the preparation of the annual budgetMaintain proper documentation and description of processes under his responsibilityQualificationsCertified Professional Accountant with a minimum of 3 years of appropriate experienceFlexible and a self-starter, able to multi-task while also being highly detail-orientedOrganization skills as well as communicationKnowledge of Canadian corporate tax, VAT tax and Québec International financial tax credit (an advantage)Knowledge of Canadian IFRS GAAP for public companyStrong computer skillsBilingual French-English
