Large scale multi-service law firm specializing in a wide range of practices.Office space conveniently located in Downtown Toronto Managing routine inquiries and administrative responsibilities, including but not limited to, email and calendar management, preparing expense reports, and processing of accounts; - General administrative duties, including travel arrangements and booking meeting rooms;- Preparing patent and/or trademark notices and/or submissions for filing with CIPO/USPTO/WIPO- Maintain the IP Database and computerized records of intellectual property portfolio information;- Preparing and processing all monthly billing;- Monitoring and responding to deadlines and other time sensitive matters;- Payment of designated government fees and other administrative duties;- Requirements: - Minimum 5 years in a litigation role working in an IP environment, including experience liaising with the Federal Court and in depth knowledge of procedures;- Legal Assistant or Law Clerk Diploma from an Accredited Institution;- Experience working with the Ontario Courts is an asset;- Proficiency in Microsoft (Word, Outlook and Excel);- Immaculate proofreading and grammar skills;- Solid attention to detail and time management skills; and - Ability to prioritize and meet urgent deadlines.
