Apex Protein International Inc is a rapidly growing company in the protein importing and exporting industry. We service local and international protein partners with a various list of products. We are experiencing tremendous growth, and we are looking for resourceful, experienced, and energized professionals to join our growing team. We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator to work from our head office in Mississauga Ontario. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, this is a permanent position with benefits kicking in after completion of three-month probation.This role will focus on coordinating international and domestic imports and exports, container dispatchment, and scheduling deliveries with third party logistics.Start Date: July 2ndResponsibilities: • Procure carriers, and negotiate rates, • Dispatch shipments to carriers and provide client tracking (track and trace).• Timely respond to all load opportunities with pricing and availability. Work closely with Traders• Develop strong customer & carrier relationships.• Load order creation and data entry ensuring timely, accurate and complete information.• Maintain professional communication with clients, shippers, and consignees.• Identify opportunities in Customers to increase efficiency and provide best logistics solutions.• Comply with company’s SOPs, Policies & guidelines as well as develop new efficiencies and continuous improvement ideas.• Be proactive and a self starter as well as adaptable to changing market needs.• Work well in an open, collaborative, fast-paced team environment.• Experience with CFIA, Boarder Clearance, and international exports/importsCandidate Requirements: • Post Secondary degree or diploma is required.• International Imports and Export experience is a must• 2-3 years’ experience in a dispatching role with customer service experience/ exposure.• 3PL experience in TL cross border logistics.• Experience with Impex Systems, and Office 365 (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).• Geographic knowledge of Canada and US an asset.• Strong negotiation skills.• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to internal and external parties.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment.• Proactive and a self starter, dependable, accurate and thorough.• High attention to detail, persuasive communicator, willingness to learn.• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and problem-solving skills.We offer a:• fast-paced, dynamic, growing, and challenging work environment• opportunity for professional growth and development• competitive group benefit plan• supportive, transparent, passionate team• possibility to switch to a permanent contractSalary: 55-65KEqual Employment Opportunity:Apex Protein International Inc believes that people’s efforts and qualifications are more important than their skin color, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, gender, or age.
