Our renowned healthcare client is seeking a Director, Employee and Labour Relations to join their growing team The ideal candidate will have experience providing strategic guidance on legal compliance, risk mitigation, and navigating complex employee and labour issues.This is a hybrid position that offers a competitive compensation package and opportunities for development and growthRESPONSIBILITIES:Provides expert advice and guidance to support Senior Management to effectively resolve complex people management issues that mayrequire corrective action or progressive discipline.Investigates and presents strategic options and background information on key issues.Builds a high performing team ensuring optimized performance, development, recruitment, retention and resource allocation.Advises management and on negotiated contract changes and assist with strategic implementation.Manages sensitive public situations with the potential for significant impact on reputation.Ensures existing human resources policies, procedures, standards and practices that are consistent with the principles of fairness and equity and aligned to current legislative requirements.QUALIFICATIONS:A minimum 7-10 years of related and progressive experience, preferably in a hospital employee and labour relations management role.Master’s degree in a related field from an accredited educationalinstitution (e.g. human resources, industrial relations, LLB, etc.) preferred.Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) preferred.Extensive knowledge of Human Resources related legislation.Proven ability to effectively lead, manage and develop a team of HR professionals.Strong Excellent relationship building skills with both internal and externalstakeholders.
