COMPANY DESCRIPTION :In full expansion and a family owed business, our client, through its cutting-edge technologies, manufactures and distributes high end quality furniture internationally within the B2B market with a special focus on the event industry.JOB DESCRIPTION :Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Plant Manager will oversee all the production, maintenance, and quality assurance functions of their new facility.TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :ProductionManage productionDaily operations monitoringReorganizing and implementing new operational methodsContinuous observation and adjustment of newly implemented proceduresCordinate the plant’s manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with company objectives, quality systems, and customer expectations.Provide leadership to ensure effective utilization of plant personnel and equipmentInvestigate and implement innovative manufacturing processes to reduce costs and improve product qualityOperationsDevelop plans that help operations run smoothlyCreate and manage budgetsAnalyze data and create reports to present to upper management regarding processesNegotiating agreements with subcontractors and suppliersCollect and review data to reduce inefficiencies and wasteManagement of EmployeesRecruit, train and onboard new employeesReviewing production records to determine whether employees meet and can improve their key performance indicators (KPI)sOversee work schedules to ensure coverageSafetyImplementation of health and safety programsOversee operations to ensure safetyEnsure routine safety checks on equipmentQUALIFICATIONS :DEC or BAC in engineering (mechanical, industrial or electrical) or combination of experience/education relevant to the positionMin. 5 years in a supervisory position and experience in plant production of a small manufacturing companyEnglish: Excellent written and verbal communication skillsFrench language (functional)Proven success in a fast-paced environment, working with a team and individuallyExtremely computer literate and technologically savvyUnderstand the operation of various metal (cutting, bending, welding, painting) and wood (cutting and lamination) processing equipmentKnow OHS requirements, implement the necessary programs and be able to coordinate corrective actionsExperience with ERP implementation and a paperless production facilityDemonstrated understanding of lean manufacturing principles KANBAN/KAIZEN – LEAN MANUFACTURING – SIX SIGMA – ISO etc.WORK CONDITIONS :Permanent position, full timeSalary between 90 000$ to 110 000$ depending on experienceGroup insuranceFriendly team environmentGrowing industry, with opportunity for advancement
