**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Manager to oversee all production, maintenance, and quality assurance functions of our new facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production, daily operations, and implementing new operational methods to ensure compliance with company objectives, quality systems, and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • **Production Management**
    • Manage production processes to ensure efficient and effective use of resources
    • Monitor daily operations and make adjustments as needed
    • Implement new operational methods to improve productivity and quality
    • Coordinate manufacturing processes to meet company objectives and customer expectations
  • **Operations Management**
    • Develop plans to ensure smooth operations
    • Create and manage budgets to optimize resource allocation
    • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and create reports for upper management
    • Negotiate agreements with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials
  • **Employee Management**
    • Recruit, train, and onboard new employees to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce
    • Review production records to determine employee performance and identify areas for improvement
    • Oversee work schedules to ensure adequate coverage and minimize downtime
  • **Safety and Compliance**
    • Implement health and safety programs to ensure a safe working environment
    • Oversee operations to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
    • Conduct routine safety checks on equipment to prevent accidents and ensure optimal performance
Requirements
  • **Education**
    • DEC or BAC in engineering (mechanical, industrial, or electrical) or a combination of relevant experience and education
  • **Experience**
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory position, with experience in plant production of a small manufacturing company
  • **Skills**
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
    • Functional proficiency in French
    • Proven success in a fast-paced environment, working with a team and individually
    • Extremely computer literate and technologically savvy
    • Understanding of various metal and wood processing equipment
    • Knowledge of OHS requirements and ability to implement necessary programs
    • Experience with ERP implementation and paperless production facilities
    • Demonstrated understanding of lean manufacturing principles, including KANBAN, KAIZEN, LEAN MANUFACTURING, SIX SIGMA, and ISO
