Sourcing Specialist (2 Positions Available) Mississauga, ON 1× 12-month Contract + 1× 6-month Contract – $46 per hour 3 Days per week in office A well-known Canadian business is seeking two experienced Sourcing Specialists to join their team. These roles provide an excellent opportunity for procurement professionals to lead strategic sourcing initiatives, manage competitive bids, and deliver cost-effective solutions across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Partner with internal teams to understand business priorities, sourcing needs, and long-term goals, providing guidance and expertise throughout the procurement process. Develop and implement sourcing strategies that optimize cost, efficiency, and supplier performance. Manage all stages of competitive sourcing activities, including preparing RFPs/RFQs, evaluating proposals, negotiating terms, and awarding contracts. Investigate and resolve supplier or contract issues, offering informed recommendations based on research and market insights. Maintain accurate records of sourcing activities, contracts, and related documentation, ensuring alignment with company policies and best practices. Draft contracts and specialized clauses as needed, and coordinate reviews with internal stakeholders. Contribute to process improvement initiatives, participate in audits, and support special projects that enhance sourcing effectiveness. Qualifications: Post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field. Minimum 4 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles within a corporate environment. Proven track record of managing end-to-end competitive sourcing processes (RFPs, RFQs, tenders). Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines while ensuring compliance and accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. These contract roles provide a collaborative environment, stable contract terms, and regular on-site interaction with business teams.
