Position Overview:

As Director of Platform Operations, you will oversee IT operations and lead platform engineering strategies. This role involves collaborating with Directors across IT domains such as Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Architecture, and Program Management to evolve IT infrastructure from traditional systems to a cloud/managed services model.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategies for transitioning from 60% hardware/40% cloud to 30% hardware/70% cloud/managed services.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor teams across various IT functions, including Application Support, DBA, System Operations, DevOps, and Network Operations.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure 24/7 IT operations continuity, implementing innovative solutions for platform stability and performance.
  • Change Management: Drive successful people change management initiatives to support IT transformation.
  • Collaboration: Align IT operations with broader business goals and ensure seamless integration across departments.


Preferred Background:

  • Industry Experience: Expertise in financial services, particularly with mid-sized banks, credit unions, or insurance companies.
  • IT Operations: Strong background in 24/7 IT environments, platform engineering strategies, and operational excellence.
  • Change Management: Proven experience leading organizational change within IT landscapes.
