Job Summary:

Our Client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cost Consultant to join their team. The ideal candidate will be a Professional Quantity Surveyor (PQS) with extensive experience in managing costs for ICI construction projects. This role involves providing expert cost management services, ensuring projects are delivered within budget, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:


Cost Estimation and Planning: Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial plans for ICI construction projects.

Cost Control and Monitoring: Implement cost control measures and monitor project expenditures to ensure alignment with budgets.

Tendering and Procurement: Manage the tendering process, evaluate bids, and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with construction projects.

Value Engineering: Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize project costs without compromising quality.

Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses for stakeholders.

Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding cost-related matters, providing expert advice and support.

Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior cost consultants and quantity surveyors, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Compliance: Ensure all cost management activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.


Qualifications:


Professional Designation: Must be a Professional Quantity Surveyor (PQS) with a recognized certification.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an asset.

Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in cost consulting, with a focus on ICI and Hospital construction projects.

Technical Skills: Proficient in cost estimation software, project management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.

Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

Client Focus: Strong client management skills, with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
