The Role
Reporting to VP of engineering, the technical program manager will collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to clarify and document product requirements, processes, and user workflows. They will translate these requirements into functional specifications for technology teams and work closely with product managers, developers, and testers to ensure successful project delivery. The technical program manager will also be involved in identifying areas for process improvement and recommending solutions to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Translate the product requirements into actionable tasks and work with cross-functional agile teams to execute those requirements
- Work closely with development teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products that meet stakeholder expectations
- Lead Agile development processes, including daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint review sessions
- Define and prioritize backlog items and product features, ensuring that they are aligned with the product vision and goals
- Create and maintain epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and other processes and workflows to support the development team and improve the product development process
- Coach the team on agile methodology, effective estimates, sprint commitments, external dependencies, and eliminating blocking issues
- Ensure that the team members have a clear understanding of the product vision, the expected deliverables, the goals of each initiative, and new product release timelines and milestones
- Maintain delivery metrics and report on product level plans, progress, and quality assurance using project management tools and artifacts like sprint burndown/velocity charts, product backlogs, and sprint backlogs
- Identify potential risks and issues related to product development and deployment, proactively mitigating risks
- Escalate critical issues to leadership and collaborate with stakeholders to develop appropriate risk mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, industry standards, and internal policies throughout the product lifecycle
- Implement robust data security and governance measures to protect sensitive information and mitigate risks
Work Experience & Skills
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a technical program manager or similar roles
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools for product development and project management
- Experience leading and facilitating key agile ceremonies (planning sessions, stand-ups, product demos, retrospectives)
- Experience with software development processes, best practices, methods, standards, tools, and policies
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables in a fast-paced environment
- Desire to learn and quick to adapt to new systems
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications and vice versa
- Detail-oriented and able to assess situations logically
- Results-oriented team player who leads by example, holding themselves accountable for performance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Nice To Have
- Directly related experience in web development technologies

Education
- Degree in Computer Science, or Engineering is preferred
