Senior Business Analyst (6 Month Contract)

Location: New Westminster, BC / Hybrid

PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND BACKGROUND

The Senior Cybersecurity BA will bolster BTS division, focusing on enhancing cybersecurity and IT resiliency. As part of digital transformation, the organization aims to modernize its cybersecurity approach. The Senior Cybersecurity BA will collaborate closely with the Cybersecurity Program Manager and stakeholders to implement transformation initiatives.

SERVICES

  1. Defining and documenting business problems, opportunities, risks, decisions, and objectives.
  2. Leading stakeholder discussions to gather and analyze requirements using various techniques.
  3. Documenting detailed business requirements and system designs.
  4. Working with stakeholders to document current and future business processes.
  5. Collaborating with third-party vendors to ensure timely deliverables.
  6. Performing fit-gap analysis and stakeholder impact assessments.
  7. Coordinating technology stakeholders to define solutions options.
  8. Evaluating potential technology solutions and presenting decision documentation.
  9. Assisting in project planning, status reporting, and test strategy development.
  10. Leading or supporting user acceptance testing and training delivery.
  11. Facilitating BA-related communications and maintaining documentation.

  2. Use Case documents or User Stories
  3. Process diagrams for current and future states
  4. Fit-gap analysis documents
  5. Business and Stakeholder Impact Assessments
  6. RACI matrices
  7. Decision Analysis and Supporting documents
  8. Standard Operating Procedures and user guides
  9. System deployment documents
  10. End User Training materials
  11. Testing documents (e.g., test plans, test cases, test scripts)
  12. Meeting agendas, minutes, and action items
  13. Program status reports and executive summaries

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in Cybersecurity and IT Infrastructure
  • Experience with high-priority IT projects
  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of business analysis experience
  • Strong analytical, communication, and writing skills
  • Experience leading teams and collaborating with stakeholders
  • Ability to gather and analyze information from various sources
  • Track record of documenting business requirements
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools, including Visio
  • Attention to detail in fast-paced environments
