Role: Senior Art Director, Medical Marketing (Remote, Canada)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Art Director to lead the creative process and guide the artistic direction for our healthcare marketing campaigns. This role requires a seasoned creative professional who can deliver exceptional design work while mentoring a growing team.
As a Senior Art Director, you will develop innovative, high-impact concepts that elevate our clients' brands and deliver results. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure all creative outputs align with client objectives, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
1) Creative Leadership
· Lead the creative development of integrated marketing campaigns, including branding, advertising, digital, and print initiatives.
· Collaborate with copywriters, designers, and strategists to conceptualize and execute breakthrough ideas.
· Maintain brand consistency and ensure all creative deliverables meet client expectations.
· Oversee design processes, reviewing and providing feedback to elevate creative work.
· Foster a culture of innovation by encouraging the use of new creative tools and technologies, ensuring the team remains at the forefront of industry advancements.
2) Design Excellence
· Develop and execute original, visually stunning concepts for a variety of marketing channels.
· Design and present high-quality layouts, mockups, and prototypes for client approval.
· Stay updated on emerging software, technologies, and creative tools, including AI-driven design solutions, to push creative boundaries and maintain a competitive edge.
· Proactively explore how new technologies can enhance efficiency and creativity, incorporating them into design workflows as appropriate.
3) Team Mentorship
· Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, fostering skill development and professional growth.
· Encourage a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the creative team.
4) Strategic Collaboration
· Partner with Account Managers and Strategists to align creative solutions with client objectives.
· Participate in client meetings and presentations, clearly articulating design rationale and strategies.
· Work closely with external vendors to ensure final deliverables meet quality standards and project timelines.
5) Regulatory & Compliance
· Ensure all creative materials comply with industry standards and regulatory guidelines, including those of PAAB and ASC.
Qualifications
· 7+ years of experience in a creative leadership role, preferably within a life sciences agency setting.
· Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in branding, advertising, and digital design.
· Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant tools.
· Experience with AI-based design tools and emerging creative technologies is a strong asset (I.e Jasper AI).
· Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
· Proven ability to lead and inspire creative teams while meeting deadlines.
Salary and Benefits
