What You’ll Be Doing:
• Deliver an exceptional sales experience from the first point of contact.
• Manage leads and provide quotes to prospective clients in a timely manner.
• Prioritize building a quality book of commercial insurance business and maintain good retention ratios.
• Follow underwriting guidelines set out and our broker partners.
• Co-ordinate and follow up on client documents and payments.
• Become proficient with online quoting portals with all commercial carriers and MGAs.
• Generate business/commercial insurance sales leads.
• Provide New Business commercial quotes to new and existing clients.
• Review coverages with new clients prior to sending New Business Submissions to markets for pricing.
• Be the Commercial Insurance subject matter expert for our brokerage to internal/external stakeholders.
• Review policies and recommended coverages based on the client’s business & commercial needs.
Qualifications:
• RIBO licensed
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• Ability to communicate in additional languages are an asset.
• 2-5 years experience as a Commercial Insurance sales producer
• Experience using PowerBroker and Applied Rating Systems software.
• Two-years college diploma or other post-secondary education is highly desired
• CAIB, CIP, FCIP or similar professional designations are an asset.
