Our client in Markham is looking to hire a On-Site Level 2 Technician. Responsibilities include delivering technical aid and support during the implementation of initial installations, relocations, additions, and modifications. Must be proficient in deploying network hardware and PCs with standard configurations, implementing changes, including the installation of new equipment and replacement of existing desktops and servers.


Responsibilities:

  • Applying your expertise in servers and networking, carry out the imaging and deployment of PCs, aligning them with quotes and client expectations
  • Ensure the proper application of warranties and the correct licensing and transfer of applications when necessary
  • Familiar with the procedures and timelines involved in liaising with third-party vendors, actively collaborate with them to address application or hardware issues
  • Maintaining accurate timesheets and thorough documentation, leverage tools such as IT Glue and ConnectWise to analyze, track, and resolve issues
  • Prioritizing a positive relationship with both clients and team members, uphold transparent communication, escalating out-of-scope issues to senior resources and handling on-site challenges


Requirements:

  • Experience having worked in a MSP environment, fast-paced with multiple clients and tech stacks
  • Must have experience with Connectwise or any similar ticketing system
  • Need to have solid understanding of networking , and ability to problem solve on your own with little to no supervision
  • Serve as an invaluable asset regarding their services and hardware, adeptly addressing inquiries from both clients and vendors
  • Experience with troubleshooting and configuring firewalls ( Watchguard and Fortinet), window servers, remote desk tops, Azure, AWS
  • Minimum 3-years of experience in IT help desk/support
  • Available to travel to visit client locations, work overtime and on weekends if required
  • A valid G class driver’s license
