**Description**:
Miller Waste Systems Inc. has been in operation since 1961. Miller is a leader in waste management and diversion, providing governments and industries with a wide range of services in the provinces of Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Manitoba. Miller has over 50 years’ experience in the waste management sector, and currently operates out of more than 30 locations. We are looking for a highly capable Routing Analyst to be located out of our Markham location in Ontario.

**About the role**:
**Responsibilities**:
In the position of Routing Analyst your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

- Must adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and must be familiar with occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Provide day-to-day support and play a lead role in executing Miller’s strategic and future state routing goals.
- Support work stream activities across Field, IT, and Operations resource groups to deliver on routing objectives.
- Working with field and corporate operations, develop comprehensive processes and procedures documents to support route optimization activities.
- Support the identification of opportunities and the development of new solutions to drive a more predictive and streamlined operating model.
- Document cross-functional requirements that support overall company goals and strategies.
- Perform analysis and execute strategic cost reduction initiatives, through the use of routing software.
- Support or play a lead role in the design, development, testing, execution, and implementation of routing and productivity solutions.
- Prep and submit monthly progress reports.
- Significant travel may be required (60-80%).
- Other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Experience supporting an enterprise routing or logistics-based technology design and implementation program.
- Demonstrated experience in technology process development.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite with advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, GIS, or related field.
- Understanding of modeling techniques, benchmarking, and statistical analysis.
- Experience or knowledge of the waste industry (preferred).
- 3+ year experience in Transportation, Logistics, or Routing (preferred).
- Advanced excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, VBA, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence without formal authority.
