About Tidewater Projects
Tidewater Projects is an event management company dedicated to strengthening arts, culture, and tourism through partnerships across the Lower Mainland. Based in Squamish and expanding across BC, we produce high-impact events that bring communities together.
We are a small but mighty team that scales up significantly during peak event season, working with contractors, volunteers, and partners to deliver unforgettable experiences.
We are currently seeking a contract Event Coordinator to support our 2025 season of major events. This is a hybrid role, with a mix of remote work and on-site event execution.

Key Event Dates (On-Site Availability Required)
You must be available to work on-site for the following confirmed event dates:
- Squamish Beer Festival – June 20-22, 2025
- Squamish Together – July 1, 2025
- Squamish Arts Festival – July 25-27, 2025
- Sp'akw'us Feather Shakedown – August 15-17, 2025
- Unreleased Event – September 12-15, 2025
What You’ll Do
Event Logistics & Coordination – Assist with the planning, setup, and execution of large-scal
e events.Vendor & Stakeholder Communication – Work closely with vendors, sponsors, and partners to ensure seamless event delivery.
On-Site Event Execution – Manage event schedules, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth operations during events.
Volunteer & Staff Coordination – Support and lead teams of volunteers and event staff.
Marketing & Promotion Support – Assist with social media, communications, and event outreach.
General Administrative Tasks – Track timelines, manage documents, and keep event planning on schedule.
Who You Are
✔ A self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments.
✔ A team player with strong communication skills to engage stakeholders, vendors, and event staff.
✔ Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
✔ Able to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.
✔ Passionate about bringing people together, live music, arts, and culture.
Skills & Experience
- At least 1 year of experience in event coordination, live event production, or a similar role.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Comfortable working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during events.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or event planning software.
Preferred but Not Required
- Experience in live music coordination or festival operations.
- Background in marketing, social media, or sponsorships.
- Previous work in arts and culture events.
- Familiarity with Squamish’s local event scene.
